Spring is in the air and it is such a refreshing time of year! It makes you want to clean out a neglected room and update your home with new fabrics and furnishings—at least that’s what it makes me want to do!

We recently enhanced a master bedroom for a Rice Military client. It’s a rare, single-family home in the area, and with their growing family and two young children, the parents wanted a retreat of their own. They had a nice-sized master and a beautiful carved headboard and yearned for a “grown up” room to complement it.

We installed new woven wood window shades and drapery panels with decorative hardware to add color, pattern, and height to the bedroom. New nightstands added storage and the built-in charging stations will be handy. We designed a custom small sectional for her television/lounging nook. The fabric selected had great texture and several shades of spa blue and green to coordinate with her wall color. It turned out beautifully and it has the cozy and sophisticated ambiance they desired.

We are thrilled to help a West U client finish her Ladies Library. It is such a unique space. We are very excited about it. We took inspiration from a great piece of cowgirl artwork that she bought in Jackson Hole, WY (one of Pamela’s favorite towns, by the way!) It has many shades of purple and we used that to select beautiful wallpaper and grass cloth. Her window treatments are at the workroom and unique accessories will give her library a finished look. We can’t wait to finish that room!

On the home front, caps and gowns have been purchased and college dorms have been selected. My oh my how time flies! My goal of getting my kids into college is coming true!

Spring is a perfect time to update and refresh. Which room in your home do you plan to work on? Remember to keep your creative juices flowing!
