The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID TXGC) recently selected Pamela Hope Designs as a 2018 Ruby Award Winner for the category, Residential Small Firm: Kitchen. Projects were scored by third-party judges from ASID chapters from across the country based on scale, proportion, creativity, originality, color composition, use of lighting, and relationship between materials, textures, and patterns.

We turned this residential kitchen into a modern, contemporary work of art. Our simple arrangement of appliances and furniture coupled with bold, contrasting cabinets gives this space a cleaner feel and modern atmosphere. The former dark cabinetry, walnut-louvered doors, and heavy stone counters overshadowed the natural light and grand windows. The sitting area overtook space for a breakfast table and appliances were lined up in a row. Moving the appliances cleaned up the main wall which is crowned with a polished-steel vent hood cover. The subtle hex design in large-format wall tiles is a nice detail repeated in the pendants that ornament this award-winning kitchen.

Our team is thrilled to add this reputable distinction to our growing collection of awards. We are proud to be a leader in Houston Interior Design and look forward to the projects we will take on in 2019! Scroll through the rest of our portfolio to inspire your next design project!
