As the end of August approaches, I’m sad to see the summer go, but I also look forward to the fall. One of the things I enjoy most about this time of year is getting my hands on the September issue of Vogue: it’s their biggest issue of the year, mainly because it outlines the fashion trends we’ll be seeing all fall and winter.

However, trends aren’t just for clothing and accessories; the interior design world also sees trends emerge at the beginning of the season. As the seasons change, we update our décor to reflect these changes.

So what are the predicted décor trends for fall 2015? Read on to find out!

The “Curated” Look
This trend embraces the idea of collecting many different pieces to create your own individual style. This trend focuses less on high-priced pieces and more on a worldly assortment of interesting and appealing items. For example, figurines collected on global travels or a gallery wall of assorted artwork. I love the very personal nature of this trend, as everyone’s “curated” look differs.

Neutrals with a Pop of Brightness
A trend that’s already been going strong and shows no sign of losing popularity is utilizing bright, bold colors as a contrast against neutral items. For example, a bright orange chair in an otherwise white kitchen.

Mixed Metals
Mixing warm metals like gold or brass with cool silvers is very fashionable right now. Keeping all metal fixtures one uniform shade is outdated and looks too staged. Mixing metals will give your home a cool, chic aesthetic that will seem effortless.

Blues
Blue has been severely underrated in terms of its versatility. While it has the potential to be a bold pop of color, it also plays nice as a neutral and works well with almost every other color. Expect to see deep shades of blue everywhere this fall.
