We are busy, busy, busy with large and exciting projects. No spring break for me, apparently, although Danna is taking a few days off to be with her daughters and family.

We are also doing lots of photoshoots. Danna and I enjoyed a glamorous headshot sitting and are in the process of selecting our best angles.

I am currently preparing for a photoshoot of our historical project, The Warrant Building, in downtown Houston. It was a soda bottling factory built around 1900, and we helped to completely renovate it into office space for a wealth management company. It’s going to be such fun to compare the befores and afters on this one. It’s going to be featured in the Houston Chronicle soon, too! We’ll be sure to post that on social media as soon as the article is published.

Our large new construction in Richmond is looking fantastic! We had a great time designing a LEGO bedroom for the little boy in the family. Our intern, Vanessa Erving, did a great job matching up paint colors. It was quite a puzzle deciding which color went where. It’s coming together nicely, and I was happy to see big smiles on the painters’ faces. It was a complex paint job!

You may have seen that one of our bedroom projects was featured on Houzz Italy.

I got quite a kick out of that! When I received it I was looking at hotels in Venice for a fall trip Jon and I have planned. That makes me feel a little better about not having a spring break ; )

We continue to enjoy our new house and love how it functions for entertaining. We had a baby “sprinkle”—casual shower—for two women in my BNI group. I planned a proper English royal tea (which means the rest of us drank champagne, too!) We all enjoyed visiting outside of our normal meetings. I added a few photos of the food and décor. Unfortunately, none of us thought to take photos of each other. Oh well, sometimes it’s best just to enjoy the moment.

We are counting down to our gala with Devereux, A Fete at Downton Abbey. I am pleased that fundraising is going well. We still have a few sponsorships available and a few individual tickets. If you are interested, please use the link for more information or call me directly. We know you’ll have a great time and feel good about supporting Devereux and the important work they do for behavioral health.

Philanthropy, photography, paint colors and entertaining all stimulate my creative vibe. Until next time, find your inspiration or call us and we’ll help you discover it.
