The holiday season has begun! We were honored to partner with Bellows Construction in decorating a tree for the Alley Theater’s annual Deck the Trees event again this year. Designers from around the city are asked to participate in decorating a Christmas tree with a theme of their choice and all the trees are displayed in the lobby of the Alley Theater. Our intern, Devon Cash, helped decorate our tree with a construction theme to honor Bellows and the significant work they have done in our city, including the recent renovations at The Alley! We hung hammers, measuring tapes, small truck and bull dozer ornaments, safety glasses, and topped the tree off with a hard hat! We think it turned out great!

We are also helping several clients get ready for the holidays by installing their Christmas decorations. For our favorite Cypress client and with help from Creative Branch, we used feathers and fur decorations to accent their interest in hunting and outdoor sports. The tree was placed in the entry to complement the staircase and a pair of fur throws were used as a tree skirt. The house looks so festive and really reflects them.

We continue to keep busy every day “hall decking!” Our client’s major renovation in Missouri City is just about complete. We are so pleased that they are enjoying their new home. They have a vast variety of art that has been collected over the years. We recently installed several pieces. Despite the variety of the art and accessories, we are all thrilled that the paint color scheme–a series of Sherwin William grays–is the perfect backdrop. Of interest was a large propeller we installed above their fireplace. It is a replica from a plane our client’s grandfather flew in WWII. Our installers had to build a special scaffold for the installation. The propeller can spin, of course!

We enjoyed designing window treatments for nearly every room for a new client in Katy. They have a modern home and wanted clean lines and fabric with minimal pattern. The window treatments provide the finishing touches needed to bring the rooms together. Stonewall, the family dog, enjoyed watching us and tried out every sofa, throw, and pillow in the house while we were there. This client was referred to us by our friends at Spaceman Home & Office. Didn’t they do a GREAT job on the closet? We have Closet Envy, just like Spaceman advertises!
